New release: The Voodoo Killings by Kristi Charish (Kincaid Strange Book #1)
We all say “Don’t judge a book by its cover” but let’s be honest, we totally do. If the book in question has a humdrum cover, I’m not even interested enough to read the back cover. A travesty to be sure! I am positive there are millions of fantastic books with lackluster covers, that I am missing out on because I’m a sucker for pretty pictures.
This gorgeous cover is both unique and interesting. Naturally it grabbed my attention!
The Voodoo Killings introduce us to 27-year-old Kincaid Strange, a voodoo practitioner residing in rainy Seattle.
Unable to raise zombies (it’s against the law) Kincaid is forced to eke out a living by holding séances for students with more money than brains. They constantly want to make contact with a certain dead rock star from the area…hmmm wonder who that could be?
The ghost of the deceased grunge star happens to be her on-again, off-again roommate. What?!
Appearing out of nowhere is illegal zombie named Cameron Wright. He has no memory of who he is or where he came from. Not only is it bad for her to be seen with an unauthorized zombie, but he also happens to connected to a string of murders. Bad business for Kincaid because suddenly she’s a target!
Beautiful cover, grunge scene, zombies and murder? I’m in!
The Voodoo Killings by Kristi Charish is available in hardcover and e-book.
