Book News: Vampire Academy 10th Anniversary

Vampire Academy-10th Anniversary-Richelle Mead

I find that I am constantly reminded of my age because the things I love are celebrating anniversaries. Vampire Academy has recently turned the big 1-0!

To celebrate this momentous occasion, Richelle Mead is releasing a beautiful 10th Anniversary edition. An amazing collection of stories for fans of her hugely popular series. So popular in fact a movie of the same name was made.

Original Release Date: August 16, 2007

Vampire Academy

Vampire Academy

Only a true best friend can protect you from your immortal enemies

Lissa Dragomir is a Moroi princess: a mortal vampire with a rare gift for harnessing the earth’s magic. She must be protected at all times from Strigoi; the fiercest vampires – the ones who never die. The powerful blend of human and vampire blood that flows through Rose Hathaway, Lissa’s best friend, makes her a dhampir. Rose is dedicated to a dangerous life of protecting Lissa from the Strigoi, who are hell-bent on making Lissa one of them.

After two years of freedom, Rose and Lissa are caught and dragged back to St. Vladimir’s Academy, a school for vampire royalty and their guardians-to-be, hidden in the deep forests of Montana. But inside the iron gates, life is even more fraught with danger . . . and the Strigoi are always close by.

Rose and Lissa must navigate their dangerous world, confront the temptations of forbidden love, and never once let their guard down, lest the evil undead make Lissa one of them forever . . .

Richelle Mead celebrates 10 years of Vampire Academy with an exclusive, never-before-seen collection of stories that sheds new light on the world and its players:

The Turn and the Flame takes a deeper look into the dark stain on the Ozera dynasty…

From the Journal of Vasilisa Dragomir unearths the princess’s private thoughts from a transformative period of her life…

The Meeting gives us a glimpse of Rose Hathaway through Dimitri’s eyes…

Release Date: November 29 2016

This is fabulous news! I really loved this series, and yeah the movie Vampire Academy was okay but only because you get to see the characters come to life on-screen. Of course it’s never as you pictured in your head. I am really excited to read some new stuff about Rose and the gang. Speaking of the gang… Was I the only one that hated that Adrian ended up with Sydney the alchemist? (See: The Bloodlines Series)
