It’s Christmas Eve for those who celebrate and our house is in full “Elfing” mode!
That’s what I call all of my festive tasks. Wrapping, baking, watching Christmas specials on TV (Rudolph is still my favourite), you know the usual stuff. But I wanted to take some time to reflect on my first year as a blogger.
Officially, Reads & Reels will celebrate its first birthday in February, and what a first year it has been. I still can’t believe that I have turned my passion for reading and writing into something so special. Something other people want to read. Creating my baby girl is the most amazing thing I have ever done, but I am pretty proud of my little blog too,
Of course I couldn’t have done any of this without the support of my wonderful husband and my friend and mentor (You know who you are). I will forever be grateful to them for their unfailing support.
I’m also incredible grateful to you all, my readers. Whether you are just a passing visitor, or one of the many amazing and talented people I have met in the blogging community, you have been instrumental in making me feel like I am doing something worthwhile. Thank you all for helping Reads & Reels grow and prosper.
I have learned so much and have met so many incredible people. I have been able to interact with some of my favourite authors (which I still have fan girl moments about) and most importantly I have turned my dreams into a reality… maybe even a career.
So to everyone, I humbly thank you from the bottom of my heart. For your readership, friendship and support, I thank you.
I wish you all nothing but the best this holiday season and hope you have had a magical 2016. Please be safe and healthy and I will see you in the new year.
