My toddler is enthralled with all things ballet at the moment…
Everything is sparkly tutus, slippers and tippy toes. Nothing is sweeter than seeing your baby girl suited up in her leotard and matching tutu for dance class. Except maybe when she is wearing tiny fairy wings too. Alas I dread the day when her babyish classes which are just for fun, turn into the real thing. Not because I don’t think it is something admirable to strive for but because of what these incredible dancers put their bodies through. As a mother, the thought pains me. To be honest, after reading this book, I’m even more terrified because I really had no clue. Ballet is hardcore!
