The Sims Tag- Bookish Tags

I LOVE The Sims! I have been playing these games both on PC and on Playstation since The Sims 2…

So naturally, I had to do this tag which I noticed most recently on Bookish Adventures. This tag was originally created by a Youtuber called Hailey on Hailey in Bookland.

The Original Sims: The Best Author Debut

The Summer that Melted Everything by Tiffany McDaniel

The Summer That Melted Everything by Tiffany McDaniel, is complex, rich in prose, and reads like it was written by a pro. It’s an excellent book about small-town values, racism, bigotry and faith, depicted in a very unique way. It’s not for everyone but I really enjoyed it.

The Grim Reaper- The Saddest Character Death

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

Will’s death in Jojo Moyes’ Me Before You. Obviously I expected it, but it was still devastating and I cried like a baby.

Sims Getting Stuck- A Character that Got in the Way

Just Like You Said it Would Be- C.K. Kelly Martin

In Just Like You Said it Would Be by C.K. Kelly Martin, the protagonist’s parents and best friend continuously stand in the way of her happiness. Lol, it needs to happen this way but it is still frustrating sometimes. Btw, I will be reviewing this book next week 😉

Simlish- A Book with Amazing Writing

Odd Man out by James Newman

Odd Man Out by James Newman. It’s a truly horrific story but the writing is fantastic! Check out my review for details about this incredible short story!

Expansion Packs- A Series Where the Books just Keep Getting Better

Alive Trilogy by Scott Sigler

The Generations Trilogy by Scott Sigler! Oh man, such an awesome dystopian trilogy! Every single book is amazing.

Cheats- A Book that’s Completely Unrealistic

A Court of Thorn and Roses

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. It was best described, in my opinion, as taking Bella Swan and throwing her into a fantasy world where she tries to be Katniss Everdeen. Lol, maybe it was just me but I agree with that.

Needs Fulfillment- A Character who makes all the wrong decisions

IMG_20170324_100214

In Daniel Clowes’ Ghost World, you have not one, but two main characters making horrible decisions. In this case, it make for a fantastic story and an instant cult classic.

Error Code 12- A Series that Starts Off Great but Goes Downhill from There

I’m going to have to agree with Michelle at Book Adventures on this one. The Divergent Series had so much potential. I loved the first book but hated the direction it went and though I finished the trilogy, I was very disappointed.

Sims Vortex- A Book or Series that completely Engrossed You

The House of Night Series

I loved The House of Night Series! I remember going out and buying installments by the handful after discovering the first book Marked by P.C. Cast at my local library. Such an awesome mix of magic and thrills! Aww, I’m getting nostalgic just thinking about it.

Fabulous tag and a lot of fun! Feel free to participate and have a wonderful weekend!

  2. This was a great tag 🙂 I’m sorry you didn’t like ACOMAF and the way you describe makes it sound terrible! I do hope I’ll like it a bit more (but I’m keeping my expectations low).
Thank you for tagging me! I grew up playing The Sims so this really brings back memories 🙂
