Movie Review

I don’t just like blockbuster movies. I occasionally like to settle in for a good indie flick!

Unfortunately, this one was sooooo disappointing!

Final Girl (Release Date: August 14, 2017)

A man teaches a young woman how to become a complete weapon. Later she is approached by a group of sadistic teens who kill blonde women for unknown reasons. The hunting season begins.

Starring: Abigail Breslin, Wes Bentley, and  Logan Huffman

Director: Tyler Shields

Rating/ Runtime: R 1hr30

My Thoughts…

Skip it! Even though it has a really interesting premise, the production is awkward and falls flat. The acting leave a little to be desired too. It’s a shame because all the ingredients are there. I did like the atmospheric tone to the film but I think that’s about it.

This is probably the shortest review I’ve ever written but there it is. If you are curious, Final Girl can be found on Netflix. If you did like it, I would love to hear from you. Maybe I missed the point.

Rating… D

  1. The premise in fact was much better than the final result…
If you go looking for a Final Girl movie I would pick up The Final Girls… that was so much fun!! Kind of a parody of old school slasher films… I would recommend it!!

  2. Yeah, I’m with ya. I was really hoping to like this one better than I did. :/
It has a lot of potential in my opinion, and good actors (I love Wes Bentley), but I dunno, it just seemed so flat and . . . I dunno, just not what it could have been, I guess.
