My Name is Not Isla (Release Date: April 4, 2017)
A man can’t set you free—only you can.
Backstage and in front of the world, a vicious record executive rules over his kingdom and the perfect little doll he’s created. He pulls the strings and poses her under the lights, and in the cage of the public eye, she’ll remain, until one day . . . she takes flight.
Where she lands, only one man will know—the one who’s being paid to watch her. He’s a killer by trade, a lonesome soldier for hire. Clearly not a fan, he begrudgingly follows her.
From the streets of New York to the coast of North Carolina, through the center of the country to a pot shop in Portland. The assignment is elementary and completely beneath him, until he finds himself teetering between love and obsession.
The public devours her.
Friends betray her.
Men try to possess her.
Every single one of them underestimates her.

Review…
Welcome once again to the world of apostolic story telling! I am starting to think that this is a new craze!
This is a story about a young woman who has been forced to grow up as a pop star and take on all the badness that comes with it. In a relationship with another famous person who she doesn’t want to be with, a manager that abuses her along with fans and paparazzi constantly on her tail…did I forget to mention the stalker?!
After realising that this was no longer what she wanted she runs away and tries to rebuild her life however she is constantly looking over her shoulder, then again if you were on the run you would be the same! Without her knowledge, she has a new ‘bodyguard’ keeping watch of her travels and soon he realises that she is strong enough to take care of herself.
This is a really beautiful story and I did thoroughly enjoy it. I am not one for love stories or sex scenes, however, I have to say that this was not as graphic as a lot of books and in all honestly it was integral to the story.
I completely recommend this book to anyone who likes a bit of mystery, suspense and some romance.

I think this sounds rather interesting provided that I could connect with the main character.
