Ahhh, the music that can literally scare you out of any body of water, even a swimming pool. A score that has stood apart for nearly 4 decades. Brilliant!
Which brings us to this week’s pick.
I spoke of my love of dinosaurs and sharks last week, so I thought it would be fitting to have a showdown of this beloved classic’s posters. I do love sharks. The ultimate apex predator. So perfect is their biology, that they have not changed in millions of years. Not many species can boast that. In fact, like many species, their only enemy is us. That is until “Jaws”, the game changer.
But first, how was everyone’s week? Mine was good, very busy getting ready for a much-needed weekend at the cottage. I read a couple of books, watched a few movies, but nothing that needed reviewing apart from Equals (Read Review). Successfully potty-trained my toddler, which is awesome and incredibly time-consuming.
Getting ready to go wedding dress shopping (Yep, Mr. Shanannigans and I are making it official after a zillion years together) and looking forward to it.
Also, I wrote a little something about blog fatigue yesterday. So many of you gave me great advice and let me know that I’m not alone in this struggle. Thank you very much for setting my mind at ease. It’s comforting to know that this is common and so many of you are experiencing something similar or have in the past.
A very busy week I’d say, and I am so very glad that it’s Friday! I’m sure you guys are too. So, let’s get down to business, shall we?
This Week: Jaws (1975)
You’ll never go in the water again!
Look at “A”! It looks like a beautiful (and terrifying) watercolour painting!
“I” is really cool! It has everything!
I am stumped! I think they all look really great in their own way. A lot of them look very similar too, making this a very difficult choice. I think I’m going to go with “G”. I like how the giant dorsal fin from all of our nightmares, dwarfs the boat and sort of looks like a sail.
The Winner: “G”
Have a wonderful weekend!

It’s hard to choose a favourite, but I might go with “D” even though it looks a bit cartoonish. I like the menacing shadow in the water.
Congrats on your upcoming wedding! I hope you find that perfect dress – and have fun while doing so. 🙂

(And the potty-training!) lol
Yay, sharks. Love the Jaws posters here. I have to agree, the dorsal fin one is really cool. 🙂

Aaaahhh! CONGRATULATIONS on the impending wedding!!!! Yay! Aww, what wonderful surprise bit of news to read about when I was expecting to just see some awesome ‘Jaws’ posters. Woo :).
As to the posters, I’m going with F. The sense of isolation really compounds the fear for me.

Lol thanks! See thats how you tell the readers apart from the skimmers! It’s #2 for both of us so it wasn’t crucial. Then we has a baby a few years ago and it seemed like a good idea. We’re pretty stoked!
That is a great choice btw! I always have a hard time picking just one.

That’s part of the fun of these posts! I always find myself perseverating over the options. But I love when such an iconic movie has such brilliant choices!
YAY again for the wedding too :). May the day be filled with love, joy, laughter, and – of course – shannanigans.
