Movie Poster Showdown: The Nightmare Before Christmas #Blogtober #Fantasy #Animation #Movies

Happy Friday!

And man am I relieved! It has been a very long week and I missed one day of posting (yesterday) for my Blogtober challenge! Does this mean I lose?!

My daughter has basically been sick since she started school, and last week it was a virus, then strep throat with another cold on top of that, so we were at the doctor’s yesterday AGAIN. Naturally I caught something from her, and have felt like death as well.

She is finally feeling better, fingers crossed it will last for a while, my poor bug. Kindergarten is a tough transition for the whole family and I think it is going to be a hard year.

I haven’t done one of these for a long time but this movie is perfect for this time of year, and I never tire of it!

This Week: The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

Hmm, since it’s Halloween soon and not Christmas, I think I’m going to go with “E”!

The Winner: “E”

What do you think?

Have a wonderful weekend my friends!

  1. Reblogged this on Reads & Reels and commented:

Hey! Remember these? I really should bring them back. They were so fun! For the record, my kiddo is presently sick with a cold, but after 2 weeks in school. I think by this point last year she had had 3 colds at least 🤔 Fingers crossed, she seems hardier this year!

These posters are all so gorgeous! I LOVE all of them! Good luck picking!

  2. Sorry for stalking your old posts but I just had to comment here as The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my favorite movies ever! ❤ I love E the most too, N is a classic, and I really like the minimalistic D! I'll quit the stalking now, promise. 😀

  3. Yay! I’ve missed these posts! 😀 And it’s for such a great movie, too! ❤
And I agree, "E" is my favorite as well. I also really like "J". 🙂
Sorry to hear you and your daughter have been having such a rough time with all the sickness, hoping you feel better soon! ❤

  4. I agree! It’s “E” all the way. It’s so perfect. Also, I’ve never understood why this was seen as more a Christmas movie than a Halloween movie. I remember in elementary school when teachers would play it on the class before Christmas and I was all, “Um, why are you trying to mess up my holiday with your CREEPY AND CLEARLY HALLOWEEN MOVIE that’s pretending to be a Christmas movie? Hard pass.” Present Michael is only slightly braver than Past Michael :).
I hope everyone starts to feel better soon too. Ugh, that’s the worst. Good luck.

      1. Teaching, and being exposed to EVERYTHING all the time, most year’s I’m fine. But every so many years I do get something and it just lays me out. Ugh, those years are brutal. Kids have already been dropping though! I feel like I’ve seen more absences for sickness/kids sick in school than I normally do at this point in the year. I’m happy you and your daughter are on the mend though :).

      2. Well she’s congested AGAIN but hopefully it’s mild. Yes kids at school are walking petri dishes at this age. She also didn’t have the exposure that daycare or preschool brings so it’s going to be a tough year for her.

        Thanks though 🙂
