My Favourite Kick-Ass Female Characters

In honor of International Womens Day I thought I  would share some of the female characters from books and film that I love and kick ass in their own special way. I am a fangirl after all.

In my opinon strong female role models often come from popular geek culture and literature. Hollywood is catching up but these heroes are more often than not adaptations from literature, video games, and comic books. We need some more original strong female movie roles. Get on it people!
